Founded by Terrance Parks, ParksPlace Studio was born from a passion for resilience and community. Terrance’s journey from overcoming financial hardships to excelling as a wrestler — inspires everything we do. Our mission is to empower individuals through movement and create opportunities for personal growth.

We aim to be more than a fitness studio. ParksPlace Studio is a space where people of all backgrounds can come together to build strength, confidence, and community.

Meet the Team

  • TERRANCE PARKS

    Founder and Head Wrestling Coach

    My name is Terrance Parks. I was born and raised in the Bronx, New York for the majority of my informative years with my mom and six sisters.

    Raised solely by my mother growing up, we would face significant financial and emotional challenges. Ranging from housing insecurity, loss of loved ones and educational barriers.

    However, it was through wrestling I would look to curate a better life for myself, and my family.

    Although I was initially ineligible to wrestle for my middle school due to age constraints, I would start to compete in both adult and high-school tournaments. Often facing opponents much older and more experienced than me.

    Despite the many hardships and the limited resources, I took it upon myself to seek out the best wrestling environments I could find. From traveling and creating friends at collegiate programs such as Princeton and Cornell University.

    As you can see my journey has never been about instant success; it has always been about untapped potential and the drive to keep going.

    Through that pursuit of wanting more, I would manage to stand on podiums next to some of the top wrestlers in the country and become one of them myself over the years.

    This would all culminate to where we are today. While pursuing my goals athletically I've been afforded the opportunity to work with athletes ranging from Bellator fighters, world level combat sports athletes and even kids.

    Which is why I'm happy to be able to give back and invest in the city with Parks Place.
